- What source
material formats do you accept?
A.
- We are capable of pulling material from DVD, Mini-DV, 3/4",
S-VHS, VHS, Laserdisc and CD-Rom.
We can also transfer almost any other source (Beta, Digi-Beta,
etc.) to one of our usable formats, but there will be an additional charge.

Q. - What different
formats can you output my demo reel to?
A.
- We can output your demo to DVD, Mini-DV, S-VHS, VHS, and CD-Rom
(QuickTime, AVI, and other digital file types) for uploading to your web
site.

Q. - What DVD
format do you offer?
A.
- We are currently using the DVD-R format. This format is compatible
with most newer leading DVD-Rom drives and DVD video players.

Q. - Why don't
you have more sample reels to show on your web site?
A.
- The samples shown are just an example of some of the work we
have done. If you are interested, we can show you more. However, please
keep in mind that your reel will be edited to showcase you and/or your
work. All decisions will be made based on the material you bring us.

Q. - How long
does it take for you to finish a reel?
A.
- Each and every reel is different, so there is not a definite
answer to this question. It also depends on how busy we are at the time
of your request. In any event, we do our best to accommodate all of our
client's needs.

Q. - Do you
offer any discounts?
A.
- We give clients a $15 credit for referrals. The credit is good
anytime towards our packages, updates, and/or additional copies. It is
our way of saying "Thank you". Please note, the referral must
be a new client and purchase a demo reel package for credit to be awarded.

Q. - I don't have any material on tape, will you record my performance?
A.
- Unfortunately, we do not perform that service. However, we
can edit the material and put together a professional demo reel for you
after you get some recorded material.

Q. - I don't understand the timecode information. Can
you help?
A.
- If you are pulling the information from a DVD, just write down
the timecode for the "in" and "out" points. It does
not have to be 100% accurate, we just need to know what shot you are talking
about. Please include the entire shot because during the editing process
we will trim/cut the footage to work with the flow of your reel if needed.
The timecode will either be on the player itself or you may have to cycle
through the display options using the remote control.
If you are pulling the information from a VHS tape, you must insert the
tape, display the tape counter and reset it. You will then be able to
see the necessary numbers/timecode needed for the "in" and "out"
points.
If you would like to go through all the material together, we will record
the necessary information at that time. However, there will be an additional
charge for the time spent going through your work.

Q. - What is
the process after we meet and you have all the materials?
A.
- We will create the first cut of your reel and then set up an
appointment for you to have a look at it. At that time you can approve
it and/or make changes. Please note, minor changes are included with the
package. We want our clients to be completely satisfied and excited about
the way their reel turned out. However, there will be an additional charge
for major changes.

Q. - Do you archive my material for future updates?
A.
- Yes we do. We keep your finished reel on Mini-DV and also burn
a data DVD with all the media used, so you just have to bring us your
new material when it is time to update your reel.

Q. - How much does it cost for future updates to my reel?
A.
- This answer depends on how many shots we are adding/removing
and the editing details. In most cases updates cost around $50 less than
our package prices. This includes bringing your material back on-line
and digitally archiving it afterwards.

Q. - Do you charge by the hour? If so, how much do you charge?
A.
- Yes and No. Our standard packages are an estimate. We only
charge by the hour for multiple re-edits, time spent recording timecode,
and special requests that require additional time. Our rate is $45 an
hour.
