Q. - What source material formats do you accept?

A. - We can capture footage from Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, DVD, Blu-Ray, Mini-DV / HDV, 3/4", VHS, and Laserdisc. We accept Digital Files (QuickTime, AVI, MP4, etc.) on a disc, via file transfer, or on a hard drive. Other formats (Beta, Digi-Beta, etc.) will need to be transferred to one of our usable formats by an outside vendor.

Q. - Do you work in HD or Standard Definition?

A. - We work in the best format based on the material you have. If we are capturing footage from blu-ray or DVD, we capture in HD 720p (a good quality DVD can hold up when scaling the image). If most of your material is standard definition and the quality is less than average - we recommend staying standard definition so the image quality is not distracting. If this is the case, we will scale down the HD footage to standard definition.

Q. - What different formats can you output my demo reel to?

A. - We can output your demo to DVD, Blu-ray (HD projects only), and a number of Digital File Types (QuickTime, AVI, MP4, etc.) for uploading to the web, playing on your phone, and more. We are familiar with the specific Digital Formats for Actors Access, LA Casting, Active Pitch, IMDB, Vimeo, and YouTube.

Q. - How long does it take for you to finish a reel?

A. - Every reel is different, so there is not a definite answer to this question. It also depends on how busy we are at that time, but we always do our best to accommodate our client's needs. We can give an estimate on the turnaround time once we have all the details for your reel. Please note that there are times when we get multiple jobs all at once. For example: when a film is released and a studio gives out the shots - we get multiple artists calling to schedule an update to their reel, so our availability can fill up fast and we can sometimes be one to two weeks out for scheduling an appointment.

Q. - Do you offer any discounts?

A. - We give clients a $15 credit for referrals. The credit is good anytime towards our packages, updates, and/or additional copies. It is our way of saying "Thank you". Please note, the referral must be a new client and purchase a demo reel package for credit to be awarded. We also give a discount if you need multiple reels or a reel and a website.

Q. - I don't have any material on tape, will you record my performance?

A. - Unfortunately, we do not offer that service. However, we can edit the material and put together a professional demo reel for you after you get some recorded material.

Q. - What is the process after we meet and/or you have all the materials?

A. - We will create the first cut of your reel and then set up an appointment for you to have a look at it or send you a file for review. The package price includes an hour for this review session. Additional time will be charged hourly. Please keep in mind that it is very rare for us to need more than an hour because all the details were discussed during our first meeting. If changes are necessary, they are typically quick edits and can be completed in the given hour.

Q. - Do you archive my material for future updates? If so, what is the cost to update my reel?

A. - Yes we do. We keep an archived data DVD with all the media used, so you just have to bring us your new material when it's time to update your reel. The cost of the update is based on the editing details and amount of work involved (see info packet).

Q. - Do you charge by the hour? If so, how much do you charge?

A. - Yes and No. Our standard packages are an estimate. We do charge an hourly rate for some type of jobs and if additional time is required due to multiple re-edits, changes, special requests, etc. Our hourly rate is $50 an hour.
